show your MR4

Thats news to me, im sure that they make a weaver size adapter. i Think 7/8 is the standard thou because thats whats on a m16a4 and most hunting gear, and thats the size of a picitanny. So i guess that tippman just has odd equipment :P.

hello all, i notice that most of you guys have found a stock that would fit the MR4, i try to look up the same stock or something similar but i'm not sure if its the same one or not. So if someone can help me out i would appreciate it thanks. Here are the ones i looked up so far:

Any stocks that fit a MR 1 or 2 will work on a mr4, the only major modding diff's between mr4 and mr1 is the bolt is of new design, the valve
(as is marketed) and the rails.

The non mr spyder ones, go behind the stricker assembaly and have you FPS adj on em, they will work on a mr4 but i like haveing a mr series one because its stops dirt and stuff from getting innto the bolt assembaly.

Got the new rail and a g36 tip on my lapco barrel. the rail was a bit tricky to figure out and im still working on it to be truthful. It amkes my hopper sit a little higher then it should giveing it a less secure hold on the feedneck( plane to fix that with some PBC pipe) and the get the rail where i wanted it to use the hopper to hide teh spot for a cyclone feed. I had to push the rail back farther then it should, so there is a gape in the back( currectly filled with foil and some other halfa**ed materials will get a piece milled or make one with some moddleing equipment eventually)

Im still deciding on how to paint it, i also decided to leave the mag. Its wimpy but if fits on there and it works as a fake mag without me having to make major mods. Anyways for the paint i was thinkin leavin it base black and putting tiger stripes on it,3 color pattern. Maybe Black, olive drab, and a dark red, will be using airbrush on it thou.

And that thing holding my marker up is a paint hauler.....i was lacking something better so i improvised, the handgrip is the only thing holding it on there

even tho it states that it's for a cocker... I found that it's a universal part. I bought the one for the Spyder and found that it's for other spyders where they "slip on." The down side to it is that it raises the hopper another inch or two but it does have a secure grip with 3 rubber o-rings inside of it to keep the hopper from moving.

Just to clarify on the weaver/picatinny thing...
True weaver rails have much more space between the slots on them than picatinny rails.
True picatinny rails have the same spacing as the ones on the MR4, but don't actually have material in the along the middle, so there's really jsut a series of points going down the sides of it (look at the rails on the Opsgear UMP, HK416 and SAW shrouds)
The rails on the MR4, and many other markers which are now common (X7, 98 Platinum, BT markers), are really weaver-styled picatinny rails. I guess it's acceptable to call them either or, but they're closer to picatinny.

A 3/8" rail is usually called a dovetail, and is small than a weaver rail, which is 7/8". The original MR2 has a 3/8 dovetail on the raised sight rail. It's not as common on paintball markers anymore, though the A-5 has one as do original Tippmann 98s.
