I just got a used Imagine and I put a reg 9V battery the lights didnt even light up. Do I need to put a 9.6V? I will try that today if not I am gonna take it apart and try to clean all the connectors. Thanks for any advice.

You will need a rechargeable 9.6v battery. Some people claim their Spyder works fine with a 9v, but I know mine would shoot like twice and that was it.

Update! So I got the 9.6V rechargeable battery. Plugged everything in tried to clean the connections by the switch. Would not charge, not lights lit at all even with new 9v battery. Could this be a bad board? Here are some pics of the board in this thing. Please let me know what kind of board i can replace it with. Thanks. Or If worst comes to worst can I put a mechanical trigger on this gun? will it work? I just want this as a gun for a loaner, nothing serious. thanks again.

Can I just replace the trigger with a Critical Spyder MG Trigger Kit, and does any one know if this comes with a board?

Nope the critical trigger kit does not come with a board, its just the trigger. Go through and check all your wires, make sure they are plugged in all the way and correctly. Check the battery wire for any exposed wire.
As far as new board goes, your best bet is to find a used on in the BST section here or on PbNation.

No question is dumb. You can absolutely put a mechanical frame on the Imagine.
