![]() I've been out of the sport for a few years, and went into the local shop with a friend today to get the feel of some markers. I was liking the PMR, but the owner was pushing the Invert Mini on my friend saying it blows the PMR outta the water. PMR's around $450 i think, and the Mini is $310. Anyone have any opinions on the Mini? I heard awhile back they had some trouble just curious if anyone on here has one, and what their take is. Its a pretty good price difference in the mid market. Thanks everyone

![]() If you get a good Mini, it'll last forever. If you get a bad Mini, it will work and then never operate again. Half of the ones sent back to the factory are never sent out again, instead they are a replacement marker.
The PMR is a much better marker, but at $450, it had better be the UL version. If it isn't, it isn't worth squat.

![]() Ive shot both - the Mini doesnt blow the PMR away. Period. It's a good gun, but its not any better than the PMR. However, that price? Hmmmm...
Personally, I hated playing with the Mini. Too, um, mini. If you know what I mean. However, my experience was the same as Tim said - during a clinic in the winter (very cold that weekend) with Texas Storm, their entire compliment of Mini's went down, while my PMR worked flawlessly. So try them both if you can - get what feels best to you.

![]() I agree, get what feels better, just don't screw yourself with a Mini.

![]() If this is the 2010 PMR then that is probably a better gun then the Mini. Alot of bigger people don't like the Mini because well it is a very small gun. I had the first gen Mini and PMR and both were great guns but I liked the Mini more. For $450 you can get a used 07 Ego. If you don't want to buy used then shoot both and see which one is more comfortable to you.

![]() Hey, Chris! Whaddup? I'm vertical, finally breathing and seeing the world differently and thinking of dropping some of the weight I gained in the past year to possibly play again...
Hahaha! You remember that clinic though, right? Damn cold was knocking them out left and right. Along with their Halo's, lol... Anywho...you really need to shoot them both to decide. The mini I actually used was Chris's and it may well have been operator problems - but that thing was just too damn tiny for me. And I'm a little guy! That said, when I come back to play, my PMR will probably be the gun I use. I love that thing!

![]() I'm tellin' ya, Mini's are not worth the hassle. The PMR is just as good (and many will agree with better) than the Mini, with parts that are easily available and user replaceable. And DYE's customer service is absolutely wonderful.
