Its really there, the way a guy explained it to me was the ice is so thick it acts as a color filter and only bounces back blue light. Its white/clear in thinner places but appears blue in thick places.

Here are some other pics of it that show what i am talking about, you can see it appears more blue as it gets more compacted and thicker:

The way it was explained to me was that it was so compacted that the air was squeezed out and thus the blue hue. It's astounding just how blue it is.

You should go to Alaska sometime, Josh.

Thats really cool, didn't know it did that. I was suppose to go on an Alaskan cruise a while back but I got sick and put in the hospital :-\

Hopefully she has insurance. None of my family talked to her after the wreck. My mom was at work and left there to go to the hospital and my dad left for the hospital right after the ambulance left.

know whats always fun? doing an assignment in a program you were never taught to use, and the teacher not giving you any details on the assignment. in my online class im supposed to do a site drawing in Visio, but i dont know how many remote sites im supposed to have, or even what kind of network im supposed to be drawing. i went through all my emails and assignments, and i cant figure anything out, and the teacher just told me "Also the site drawing is one of three or four drawings you will be doing for this class. I generally create separate tabs for each drawing. When the project is finished you will have a tab for the site, for corporate and each remote site."

oh, and the assignment was due a while back.
