I bought MW2 twice..once for 360, once for PC. It was a great game. But I don't have time to play it, so I figure why bother with MW3.

I'm sure it's fun (although many aggravations can stem from poor game mechanics -- bf3 and cod:bo have had their share) but I try not to lie to myself -- the game is overpriced crap that they're trying to sell me a yearly subscription of. If I won't be playing with the shooter crowd when choosing a game, I don't have to pay my yearly tax to follow them to a new game.
I anticipate any time I have for video games would go in this heirarchy: Skyrim Guild Wars 2 (TBA release) Assassin's Creed ? |

Yup, #3 in line on release night for my Hardened Edition Leed. My two good friends were in front of me, lol. Multiplayer is much better than with MW2 so far, but this COD Elite thing is driving me nuts. I'm supposed to be granted "Founder" status because I pre-ordered the Hardened Edition, but their website is being a pain in the ass.
As far as the campaigns between BF3 and MW3 go.... BF3 is much more like a movie. Very, very well done, and with the HD download it is simply stunning to look at. MW3 is much more shooting, and -- as it is the end of the trilogy -- an absolute must play for those that enjoyed MW and MW2. Graphics are better in MW3 than in MW2, but not by much. The Battlefield series saw a much bigger improvement, IMO, with their new graphics engine. I also have Assassin's Creed on pre-order. Can't wait for it, but I have to admit... getting three of the four major titles this year (Yes, I'm including Skyrim in that) has really worn me out, and I'm only through 2/3. Late night gaming sessions and working long hours the next day just plain suck. AC will be worth it, though. Vike... http://goo.gl/fBvyz

![]() I've got the soundtrack and the viking metal in my playlist; The fridge is stocked with porters, stouts and mountain dew; all of my homework is done for the week; steam is finished preloading. Now I must test my dragon's patience and wait 29 more hours. |

tim, how are you enjoying that $60 DLC?
claus, i was originally going to go with the cookie-cutter gaming build (2500k), but didnt have the funds. kinda glad i didnt bother upgrading yet. i cant wait for skyrim. cant play BF3 online at my parents house and im tired of campaign, so skyrim will be a nice change of pace.

I'm going to destroy it, Sas. It wouldn't let me log in at all on my 360 last night. At least I'll hopefully be granted my free map packs.
My next build'll definitely be a nice quad core FX series, a 990FX series mobo (either Sabertooth or a Crosshair V), and a nicer graphics card. Thinking a 6790, but we'll see as I get closer to having time to do it all.

Intel is just been wrecking AMD in performance lately, I'm not sure how you can buy from them. As far as nVidia vs ATI, I can see the quality there, I just happen to be an nVidia guy because I've gotten screwed by ATI in the past (although nVidia's "stable" drivers are laughably unstable from time to time)

We'll see how this FX series comes around. Price will be key, since I want to be able to rebuild my desktop with only the parts I need for around $500. Anything more, and I might as well just leave the damn thing the way it is. I want four sticks of RAM (have DDR2 currently), a NICE mobo, at least a 3.5ghz proc, and a nice graphics card.
