D- Gnome 3.0 is on fedora; Gnome 3.2 is the most recent release. Beefy Miracle (Fedora 16, later this month) will have 3.2 and it should be even nicer. One tradeoff of YUM is that it seems to download a fresh list of the packages every time you use it. This is nice to prevent issues sometimes... but it seems strange to run an install command 2 minutes apart and download the list every time -- like huge issues could arise from that. IMO they should have their management in a place where a few minutes or even a day old repository listing won't break anything anything (but perhaps just provide an older package) so that they don't need to update the package list so often.

I've noticed that. It downloaded like 1000+ packages on my first sync last night. We'll see. I'm going to build a mini domain this week so I can test some group policy stuff, so I'm gonna build a few Linux VMs while I'm at it. I need moar storage.

I tell all my VMs that they have like 500G each... I have nowhere near that much space... I hope they don't all try to cash it in. I just built my Arch Linux one: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide is a helpful walk through to get everything you need. I still haven't managed to get Debian Stable to upgrade to testing/unstable without breaking.

Took me a while, but in the end I'm satisfied.

Some of my friends have been drooling over Skyrim since last year, it got old quick! I was bad for MW2, but not that bad. As for MW3, I'll have to see if I like it first. Have you got it, Tim?

Bah. I'm skipping that. I don't need any of the carbon copy fps rehashes this year. Maybe next year if nobody is on schedule with releases.
