wont happen though. we've been "mopping up" in the middle east for years now, and nowhere close to being done.

i dont know how many of you have a Scheel's near you (basically a cooler version of ****'s/Sports Authority), but their national HQ is right out my front door, and they have a huge "Thank You Navy Seals" banner on their digital sign (facing one of the city's main roads). it made me tear up a bit.

What I worry about is that we went into Pakistan with an armed force and killed one of its inhabitants. Granted, that was Bin Laden, but... How will they react? They haven't been really supportive in the past.

They don't have a leg to stand on in the international community. "We have been harboring Bin Laden for the past x years and you came in and killed him. You should of told us so we could have had him move. Again."

What is Pakistan going to do? Throw rocks at us? I'm so fed up with this. Just bring them home. There is no cleaning up to do. No policing. No reason to be in Afghanistan. No reason to tank our economy spending money on everyone except ourselves. I can keep going if necessary.

Bringing an armed force with killing on their minds into another country is an act of war. That is what I fear they will pull. Or, they could remain silent and let it go. I fear for the worst, and hope for the best. Considering that we are already involved in so many nations with so many conflicts, it isn't wise to start much.

Am I glad we nailed him? Yes.

Doc, it isn't going to happen anytime soon. We have destabilized two countries. Our government will not pull out until they feel we have given them the best possible chance to rebuild. It isn't going to happen, so I foresee us being there for a very long time to come.

tim, considering pakistan is an ally, who has pledged their "support" and is now claiming their intelligence dept had a hand in it, i doubt we have anything to fear. im sure they just want to wash their hands now that its over and claim they were helping us all along.
