MR1 shooting multiple balls

hi all.

i just recently purchased a freshly refurb'd mr1. added a j&j 14" barrel, tacama hopper, 20oz co2 tank.

i was noticing that when i was practice shooting, every so often i would shoot 2 or 3 balls at one time, then go back to shooting single shots. obvisouly the multiple shots dont go as far as single shots.

i was using 1+ year old crappy walmart balls to test...would that make the gun do this?

everything else seems good to go on it. cocks fine, no leaks, body is in perfect condition, etc. only problem im having is multiple balls.

Check your ball detent. Since it happens here & there i would put more of the blame on the paint.

If it is still there....

My friend had the same problem, and it turned out to be a missing detent = )

Lol! Yeah make sure the little nipple part is still there. Or even see if you got a new detent. The old ones are red and new, better, ones are black.

where do i look to see where one is tho? lol

1.) Cock the marker.
2.) Take off the barrel or feedneck (feedneck's better).
3.) Stick your finger in the breech and feel for a thing sticking out.

IF you do not feel anything, PROCEED to 4.
IF you feel something sticking out, PROCEED to last paragraph.

4.) Take off the detent cover.
5.) Check to see if detent is there.
6.) If detent is not there, call local paintball shop and ask for a replacement detent for an Intimidator (Timmy).
7.) Replace or install new detent.

If you have a detent, and it's double feeding, try turning the detent 180*. Sometimes they wear down and bend to where they aren't very effective.

In the MR1 you take off the feedneck.

is there anything else i can use as a detend or do i have to purchase a new one?

i remember seeing on here for another spyder u could use a bb or etc.
