I have an m16 style trigger frame. It's the original metal frame with composite grips that can be unscrewed to allow for the 45 and m16 styles. However, I can't figure out how to remove the rack from the m16 grip. I'm looking at the diagram and it appears to be removable. If anybody can tell me how to do it or if it's even possible please let me know. Thanks.

it's pretty much just the asa mount. but it's like an frame within the grip itself that has bottom line screw mounts built into it rather than the normal square nuts that slide into the frame.
it's part number 33 on this diagram. ![]() |

oh. there should be a hole in the middle when you take the ASA off. you should be able to stick a screwdriver in there.

Oh yeah, I got the entire grip off the frame but i just want the "rack" out and it doesn't slide out. I'm not ever sure if it's supposed to. But i need to get the mounting screw that's in the grip out because it' old and dirty and needs to be changed.

ah. soak it in some wd-40 and it should loosen it up. but you're right, it should come out. you may have to push it from the top after you get the screw out.

Remove screw #34. It will separate the metal trigger frame from the grip then you should be able to separate the grip from the part you're talking about -
Oh wait, you already did that? If so can you get some actual pics of the top and bottom of the grip asy? -

idk if you can push it. i tried but there's now way to angle a screwdriver or something to really push the rack out. the screw hole isn't wide enough. I have yet to try wd-40 though. and here are the pics Dragon. thanks for all of your guys help so far.

yeah i am, i think i'm gonna try and squirt some wd-40 along the inside and try and get wire or something through the bottom screw holes and pull it out? idk i don't want to mess up the threads cause their not nuts and easily replaceable like the other spyder frames.
