strange problem

I have a strange problem with my mr2. Basically, when I put it onto a firing mode, it will switch between that and semi-auto (green). However, despite a light of some colour appearing, about half the time the marker won't even shoot.
The strange part of this problem is to fix it, i have to open up the grip and push up slightly on the electronic board thing inside. Putting something in to hold it up wouldn't work, it has to be pushed exactly a certain amount. loosening and tightening the screws doesn't help at all. The problem isn't with the jumper and the battery is fully charged.
I've searched around quite a bit and cannot find a similar problem. Would it help if I put a video on youtube of the problem?

I video would be perfect. (make sure you use good lighting, try a desk lamp behind you, pointed at the ceiling)

This sounds like it COULD be your CAP is fried (help me out here guys)
