Default Updated pics of the Stang *56k suicide*

Been awhile since I posted pics, I washed it up nice yesterday..

And my personal favorite:

The foglight in the driver's side was angled wrong in the 1st picture..I finally fixed that last night, as you can tell by the dark picture.

Man you need some suspension upgrades on that stang. I mean you have a good 5 inches between the tires and the fender, I think that looks kinda, eh, dumb. I'm feeling some Eibach Pro-kit springs to drop 1.5-2.5" and increase handling capabilities. What have you done so far performance wise?

For just starting out looks good. Far from being done I know because we've talked about all the upgrades you want to do. Should be nice when you're done.

IMO...dropping the suspension is the dumbest thing on the planet. near zero ground clearance = bad in weather, bad on bumps/pot-holes and looks like a midget should own it. Dropping your car to the point where you're nearly sitting on the curb puts your eyes right into on-coming traffic's headlights, which leads to more wrecks.....why?...for a coolness factor? Put that stang on a 4x4 frame for that

You're not always right. Don't be so condescending...

Dropping the suspension is majorly beneficial in many areas. You don't always want the lowest drop, but a 2" drop can do a lot for you. In durrell's case, he wouldn't have that OUTRAGEOUS gap... The car's center of gravity would be lowered, providing better grip and handling. When you drop a car, you never go farther than like 2 or 3 inches, mainly because not many suspension systems will allow you to do that, and there can be clearance issues with parts of the drivetrain and sorts. 2 or 3 inches isn't going to put you any more into headlights than you already are. Scraping can be an issue, but you generally don't want to drop it THAT low. If you do feel the calling to absolutely SLAM the car, air-ride systems are always an option... You can get a good system for about $2500, which is less than twice what a set of nice coilovers cost you. With air-suspensions, you have 100% control of your cars ride height from inside the car. Push a button to lift while you go over a speed bump. Push another, you're back down for improved handling...

Simply replacing springs, and not going with a full cup kit or coilovers isn't the best idea. The ride quality will be crap. Depending on the car, you can generally get a cup kit for $500-800, and it will be pretty comfy. $1000 will get you a decent set of coilovers, and $1500 will get you a very nice set of coilovers. If you're going to track your car, air rides won't give you the best results, but they handle very nicely for road use, feel delicious, and give you the ultimate control in how your car drives.

If you make a very significant drop, definitely get a skidplate... There's no easier way to unknowingly kill your engine than puncturing the oil pan and driving for a few miles...

I say leave it!

Spend the money that you would use on accessories on taking a trip!

Well, it has a reverse hood scoop..if I got scoop I'd have to replace the entire hood.

As for the suspension I'd rather go engine mods than suspension. I'm looking at:

-K&N FIPK
-new underdrive pullies
-throttle body spacer

That gives me about 30 horse power, puts me at 220. I want to be able to take my friend's 05 Mustang but after driving it the other night I'm not sure I'd be able to. I'm not going to drop thousands of dollars into this car simply because towards the end of college I'm getting an 05..so no need to put alot of cash towards this one.
