Had one day out, never going to use it again.
Here's my set up: -invert reloader 2 (get to this as well) -jnj 14" barrel -20oz c02 tank Reasons: - After like 20 feet the gun is inaccurate. - Balls fly where they want to out of this gun, and this is with a jnj 14" barrel. - On semi-auto the paint was chopping about every 3 balls, and i certainly wasn't going above 12bps and was using quality shop bought paint. - The bolt literally popped out and fell out of the gun. Also, due to it's design the battery door of the reloader 2 kept opening up and the 9v battery kept coming out. - I chrono'd the gun at it was ranging from -/+ 10-15! I am extremely disappointed with the gun. At home shooting targets it was great, but now I'm starting to realize that even with the slightest breeze on a 65 degree day, don't even try to hit anyone accurately. I turned the gun up to about 280fps average, I snuck up on a guy who was about 15 feet away from me. Shot 3 times but the balls dipped or went to heaven and he turned and one shotted me. This happened a few times. Very, very pissed as this was only my second time out using it. The first was in a 1v1 and the only reason I didn't notice the issues was because I was getting up close and not spraying balls. |

all base model spyders are like that.
1) theres nothing to regulate airflow, so your shots arent going to be ball on ball... 2) a new barrel doesnt mean anything if its too big or too small for your paint, which it sounds like it was. theres no way you can blame curving paint on a crappy gun. if anything, blame it on the paint and barrel combo. 3) "quality" paint usually has a more brittle shell than the cheap stuff, so it actually has a BETTER chance of breaking during a chop. and the reloader 2 isnt exactly a quality hopper.

to add to what DF said your never going to get any consistancy out of co2 at the best of times you really should try HPA

Agreed. The aforementioned is the majority of the inaccuracy issue.

well, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't hpa more consistent because it almost always has two regs?? not because of the gas itself, therefore, if you double regulated co2 (which would be kinda weird) it would be just as consistent.. right??

well, theres that, but co2 also expands as it leaves the tank/reg. hpa doesnt.

ok so i did a paint to barrel test.
I used visible impact, put it in the barrel (jnj 14" ceramic 1 piece) and it rolled straight through. So... it's too small. I then put in the DXS field paint (the kind that says nasty on it), and no matter how hard i blew it wouldn't go all the way through. I'm assuming this was a major part of the problem? Anyone have any suggestions on a new case of paint for the jnj barrel? |

I've always had good luck with RPS Stingers or Premium. I almost never use Marbalizers...too pricey.
