I'm wanting a mount to replace the drop forward so a 9oz CO2 tank can be strapped onto via Velcro strap....
Ok..... it needs to be Alum, have the 2 holes to mount to my grip frame at the bottom.... then have a "C" shaped part with the radius so that a 9oz CO2 tank will sit in, have that long enough so that you can use ZIP Ties or Tape or Velcro straps to hold the tank firmly to it.... I will then have my ASA hard lined to my front grip "fake clip" that will hold the front of the tank firm.... Can someone here help me out with this ? |

i'm not following you. You do realize that the part you screw the tank into is strong enough to hold onto it, right?

OK what I'm doing....
Look at the stock ASA of the MR1.... the hose threads in the front, its dove tailed on the top.. I'm going to mill the top flat, drill and tap for an air port, take off the hose from the gun, replace it with a solid metal tube, thread the ASA onto it so that now its part of the front grip......... it may need a spacer to lower it ! Now if I was the screw on a full tank it may not be a mounted solid enough to the gun for my liking, SO I will make and mount a "C" shaped piece to the grip frame in place of the drop forward to help hold the tank. Not to fully support it but help hold it.... This will clean up the looks and tuck the tank up and level with the rest of the gun... |
