Deadly Wind Barrel

Hey I just thought I would post what ive experiance with the deadly wind CF barrel

Pros:
Takes freak inserts
Light weight
Quiet
Shoot though breaks
Comes in 12", 14" and soon 16"

Cons:
Price ($75)
AC threading only
Can't swap lengths(like with freak tips)

After playing with this barrel on my Mag I love it, im glad I chose this over a freak barrel front and back. The look of the carbon fiber is awesome and the absence of weight is nice. Shooting thought breaks was a breese... I've got the ULE trigger pull and I ripped a hole hopper of paint out to test it in 35deg weather... I was getting breaks but it was VERY old premium with lots of dimples but the paint just oosed out the porting and cleaned out after acouple shots; loss of accuracy was minimal and im my opinion it's well worth the $75. Just picked up the freak kit for another $75 at actionvillage.com and you've got a very nice barrel combo and all the inserts you need for $150.

I still think that Deadly Wind sounds like what happens after somebody eats too many beans....

Sounds like a nice barrel, I wish I had the money to shell out.

I want one of these barrels but they don't have the 14" in stock... Still waiting.

You could in theory switch sizes out. Just, it would be a lot more costly. Buy two barrels, a 12, and a 14. Simple, lol. Someone should do a comparison of SLY, Stiffi, and Deadly wind CF Barrels. I'd read it.

yeah, have only been in about 20hrs in the last 2 weeks.. sorry for the delay. About the only thing I can to do is try to keep on top of emails while im gone.

No 14" right now. They are being worked on, and will proably be a little over 1 month before they are done, assembled, and ready.

we will be getting in 14" and 16" at the time.

No I know, it's not that. I was just saying, it's possible. It says it on their website. But there would really be no reason to switch from a 12 to a 14... If anything you'd want to go from a 14, or 12 to a 10, but they don't have 10's and don't plan on it. Which is one reason why I would go with a SLY barrel.

This isnt a barrel system you should use if your looking for multiple lengths...it just isnt cost effective. I think a regular freak would be a better solution.

I've been wanting one for the past few months but still out of 14's...grr
