Meh, I've shot guns with LPRs and guns without them. Personally, I can't tell a difference between them. When I shot my Shocker, I had no issues with the gun being to hard on paint. Never have had a problem with my PMR right now either, which doesn't have an LPR.
If anything, it's just one less thing to mess with, and if there's a way to get rid of them, why not?

"Play Xball" I don't play xball, but that's really an extreme case. If i have a problem at the field, I don't want to be out for a hour making my gun shoot smoothly. I don't have a chrono at home, so I can't tinker there. I need it to go from untweaked to tweaked in seconds not minutes. Besides, a well designed marker can function without an LPR by using balanced pressure systems by decreasing area on the LPR affected spot, It's not like you're loosing much "smoothness" I think i should make it clear that the EGO, does need an LPR, the geo however, due to it's designed nature will never be dramtically effected by an LPR Last edited by HelpDeskHustler : 10-12-2008 at 09:48 PM. |

Stank, in this case HDH is right. Because of it's low operating pressure from it's HPR (100-150psi), it does not need an LPR. Your Proto, on the other hand, benefits more from the LPR so thus they put one on it.

Just like shockers, there's almost no effect on them with LPRs.

The difference couldn't be more polar, because the pressure of a solenoid on an EGO style gun would be prone to differences in pressure because it hits a constant valve. In the GEO, however the solenoid controlled pressure is simply holding back the bolt until it's fired, releasing the equal pressure and causing an unbalanced system, making the bolt shoot forward. A LPR should not be used unless the surface areas of the front and rear portion of the bolt is different, and if they were you'd only need to adjust it one time.
