a reg 9 volt will not ruin the circut. i'm an electronic engineering tech. the reg 9 volts even have less voltage, thing is they cant run the circut effectivly thus causing the gun to not work to its full potential. it will work for a while but then die out shortly.
i have always charged my gun while the switch is off (no lights on the trigger are on) i let it charge for about 5 hours after everyuse.sometrimes i uise the gun for 8 hours. you cant overcharge the battery, ive had mine charge for over 24 hours. you may just have a broken switch if nothing else works that you try. is the switch hard to turn on? if it doesnt have a little resistance the switch could be broke. also is the charger all the way into the chargeing port? i have had the charger port thingy be hard to shove the charger all the way in.

is there a chance that you somehow got water on the board or had the gun in a moist/damp area for a while? or that when you thought there was a problem and checked the board you touched it while sitting on a static prone area such as carpet? is so you may have shocked the board causing it to short, thus ruining it. if you have the money take it to a shop or buy a new board. maybe go to a field and see if someone could look at it. that sint the best idea cause normally people at a field are there to play, but maybe someone would be nice and help for a small chunk of change$

depends. you can go with another stock board which is a safe bet and more than likely the cheapest. or you can go the aftermarket route which can be spendy but has a crap load of benefits, such as faster, more efficint and makes adding other mods easier sinec the whole electric part of the gun is top notch.
otherwise you may be able to buy used from a person that took their stock board out. theres plenty of sites online to buy from. actionvillage.com is a good site. ANSgear.com is another great site. many people on here use alot of sites, but those two have always been the best to deal with when i ahve ordered crap from them. just make sure you get the right board for your gun, not sure if theres some that are bigger or smaller or w/e. i have never replaced a board in a gun before, may want to amke another thread asking what board is good for the price, ya knwo the whole best bang for the buck kinda thing.

well, since i'm pretty sure that you dont own a whole bunch of electronic testing crap or know you to test electronics with a probe, and since probes cost more than a new board, youd be better off buying a new board. i'm not sure theres a place where you could take your board and have it tested.
i'm not certain your board is shorted or broke, mainly cause i cant actuially see it in person. if nothing turns on on the board, new batteries dont help, all connections are good, i would hahve to consider the board is shorted or theres some very small connection thats loose and you cant see it, such as a sodering point on the board itself. theres no way to tell if you accidently shorted the board, it just happens. a shock so small that you cant even feel the shock, can ruin any electrical circuit board. just the way it is. if you took your gun apart and messed around with the board on carpet, or came within close contact with the board, such as touching a wire near it, the spark coulda bridged form your finger onto the board. onec again, i'm just assuming considering nothing else works that you have tried.
