Talking Ok I Want to "Pimp Out" My Pilot

Ok well I have been thinking of what I should do with my Spyder Pilot ACS lately whether I should sell it or keep it as a backup gun or really try to make it a good gun. I have finally decided I want to try to "Pimp it out".

One of the main reasons I want to do this is because I have seen some other people on these forums with some pretty cool looking spyders that seem like they would perform quite well, like Sandman Bravo with his LP Pilot and Carbine with his "Hornet" which is a Spyder VS1 I believe. They have inspired me to try to upgrade my Spyder Pilot ACS so its a little above the average Spyder

First I just want to say I am going to try to keep my Spyder going with CO2 I know it's not the best air source, but I am on somewhat of a tight budget and I know it can be done because Carbine's "Hornet" runs of CO2 if I remember right. My Pilot as of right now has just the bare essentials( I know it isnt much but give me a break, it will get better)

Spyder Pilot ACS
CCM No Rise Feedneck
14" J&J Ceramic 1 Piece Barrel
Black Dye Sticky Grips 3

As you can see I have the very basics. What shoud be my next step on upgrading my Spyder? I was thinking a regulator, and since I am going to be sticking with CO2 I was thinking a Palmers Regulator would work nicely. But if I do get a new regulator dont I need another upgrade or an adapter because the Spyder Pilot doesnt have standard threading correct? Also after that what should I do? Where should I go then?

Thanks for Reading, Adampff

Threading is for macro.
You need a new valve and probably a spring kit. You will also may want to get an offset adapter to go below the frame so you can use any on/off or asa you want.
Also, I'd look into a new hammer/striker if you want less kick without messing with the air pressure.
If you want eyes, get it drilled/tapped for eyes then get some new eyes, a new board and then eye covers.

Options are endless.

Well it depends on if he likes it or not. Going LP will also reduce the kick. I'm sure you know what LP means, so I wont bore you with the details.

Thanks for the help The Pumper, I will probaly get a new Hammer to reduce the kick. Also a new valve and all that will be coming pretty soon, first I will look into a regulator.

if you want a quick, easy way to reduce the kick, lighter hammer will help alot!
But going LP is a fun project and will have kick like any high end if done correctly.

Ok thanks TheDarkShadow I will definetly look into that.

And the lighter hammer is one of the top things on my list, it will feel nice to not have as much kick. =]
