Speed range possible (FPS)

I just came back from the paintball range to test out the new RS I got and was testing the velocity of the paintballs.

What's the range you should be getting out of the marker with a full CO2 tank, and the regulator set to 300 psi?

I was set to minimum velocity, which was 220fps, tried to bring it up to 270 and all I got was 260fps.

Is it safe to have higher than 300psi in the gun, would it help reach higher fps?

Yeah Its safe to have higher than 300 psi.

Try to get it to shoot at about 280fps
