Backwards valve pin? Is the valve pin sticking through the valve so that the striker hits it, opening the valve? If you are sure the bolt is in right this would be my next guess.

Is the pressure high enough? If the pressure is too low it won't recock.

There is an electro version but mines jus tthe mech. I assembled the gun according to the online diagram. I use HPA which works fine on another gun. I'm going to try CO2 tonight and see if that does anything. The valve orifice seems to be a lil rusty but not corroded enough to impair the valve pin (which is also in correctly)

I once saw the striker bolt's "bumper" installed infront of the striker. The ball would come out of the barrel about 20'. It is the one with number 26A... Here

Yeah that could be it if the problem was with my MR1 lol Its a VL Maxis...BE forum is useless so I came here instead. I hooked up the CO2 5 mins ago and again, the same problem. Gonna tinker a lil more then find a good cliff or deep lake to drop it into.

I had that problem with my MR1 but I end up figuring it out. the problem was my bolt was upside down
I mean that probably isn't the problem but thought I might as well let you know, just in case

Yeah everythings assembled correctly. I got it working about 5 mins ago. Lotsa Lube and few new orings did the trick. Thanks for all the help everyone.
