Default Tactical question, up in the air shot.

I have a question for vets here, of legal use on the field and possibility.

If you shoot almost straight in the air, will the balls come back down fast enough to break when hitting the targets that are soft fleshy humans? And, is it legal in woods ball?

Reason I'm asking is that in one of the scenario plays that I go to, they are in a metal forteress, but without sky cover. They are really hard to get and have the huge advantage. I figure if I shoot balls in the air at a 70* angle, the balls will reach them from above, but the question remains, will they break? Or will the wind resistance slow them down too much?

I'm thinking they won't break.

i think should be legal but then again im not a regular field user (just woodsball) but i have shot in the air and it still came down pretty fast but i know one hit a metal shed and broke but idk about humans. it might tho i could try next time i go out just shoot up a few then stand under them lol

At most fields that is called blind firing and is not allowed. You will need to check with the field to see if it is ok. Now arching shots is fine and done quite a bit to increase some distance.

Will the ball break??? That depends on a few things, what does the ball hit, the soft, cushy head cover the player is wearing or the top of his loader? Also depends on what kind of paint you are using, is it more brittle?

What I say is instead wait for your shot and then take it and hit what every they expose. They need to expose something to shoot at you right! And one of the best hints ever, look for toes. You would be surprised how many foot eliminations I have gotten, from someone who is not aware of their feet. Any hit counts!

get a BT apex barrel. you can do "dive bomb" shots as I call em, and they are a useful tool if someome is hiding behind walls, maybe in a trench, etc.

the chances of you actually hitting something are pretty remote. maybe if you got the entire team to do it. rules would be up to the field. if it's a large field with no chance of the paintballs being blown onto another one, or out into a safe area, i don't see why not

Ahh, I didn't account for blind fire... it's normally not allowed.

I'll try it anyway next time I go out, I'm still curious!
