well, i got my last part yesterday and i think i'm finally done! 11 years in the making and more parts on and off than i can remember, but my Classic is now complete!
first off, a list of what on/in her: Spyder Classic: -DYE .45 Single Trigger Frame -DYE Sticky 3 Grip -DYE Aluminum 14" Barrel -DYE Titanium Boomstick with 14" Tip Barrel -Kingman Stock Brass Lined 9.5" Barrel -Kingman Aluminum Ball Detent Cover -Extreme Rage Aluminum Powerfeed Plug -Planet Eclipse Velocity Adjuster -Smart Parts Vertical Adapter -Custom Products Gas-Thru Foregrip -AKA Mitey-Max LPC -AKA Dust Cover -AKA Lightning Bolt -Shocktech Cocking Rod -Maddmann Rocket Valve -Dark Horizon Titanium Striker -Shocktech (short) Silver Shim three spring kits; Maddmann, Shocktech and 32 Degrees and that's about it. the only thing left is to send the receiver off for ano to match the Max-Flo. so now here's some pic's: started like this in '97 (that's not my original, just the receiver with the re-released Classic parts i ended up selling): ![]() bought a second one in '01 and became "these": ![]() and now present day: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() as always, comment are more than welcome and appreciated! i've always loved your gun! i dont like how the cp is longer than your old gas-thru though. i would tell you to not anno the body, since that one is still in really good condition, and i've always liked that classic color, but you have a second one.

Looks great! Just seems, I don't know, correct, the way you have it. Way to go!
Question: Where did you find the safety and internals for the Dye frame? I have one and for the life of me can't find a safety or trigger for it. (I have a sear and spring.) The pins and safety I have are too small for the holes drilled into the frame...

DF - thanks! it's funny you say that... kind of a visual trickery going on there, the CP gas thru is only longer by about a short 1/8" at most. the Bel Sales gas thru was fatter and thus looked shorter; plus in the pic with the ESP grip frame, the frame is taller so the gas thru looks shorter. as for ano, still not exactly sold on doing it yet, but throwing the idea around. and alas i do only have this one, sold the other one a year or two ago.
Vik - thanks! it's been a while and i agree, it does just "fit" now. for an answer to your q: i had the internals from the original frame/s and just put them in. although i did have to buy an alternate safety to fit. it seems that Kingman made at least three different sized safety and the middle sized one fits the best. the pins all fit well except the trigger pin which was small, i just put a drop of super glue on the gnurled edge and it's good to go.

i think the one thing i really like about your gun is that a lot of the parts you used are older and not very common anymore.

huh? the maxflow?? i think thats part of what makes the gun unique too. you hardly ever see spyders with maxflows, and you don't see a lot of maxflows in general.
