DH Titanium

Well, just broke down and orderd the DH Titanium Striker. I was having the problem with the gun recocking after lube. I just keep throwing money at this gun. I was running at about 400 psi with a stock pollished striker, what can I expect?
Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this striker?

Otter seamed to like it, but he could put a turd in the gun and make it run at 200 psi. I'm not that lucky. It's been quite a struggle to get this thing running at low pressure.

I had a DH striker in my TLX and was running at about 220-240 psi at 285 fps, consistently. The goal here however, is not to see how low you can go, but more to see at what pressure will your gun operate at its optimal level. I could get my TLX to recock under 200 psi, but this wasn't very air efficient for my gun. I'm not sure of the mechanics behind it but just because you lower your pressure doesn't mean that you are using less air. Anyway, back to the DH striker, it works great, its very light and will help make your marker more efficient.

I can only get my marker to recock at about 355 psi @ about 200 fps. At 400 psi it was a gas hog. I still have to find the right setup.

my gun shot at 400 psi with a stock polished striker also... then when i put my dh striker in i got it down under 200 psi with co2... but each gun is different so theres no exact way to tell.

I would say for that set up your problem is probably your valve. Also have you polished your internal per Otter's recommendations? Also what bolt do you have?

Polishing the internals is a deal breaker if it gets screwed up. No I haven't done that yet. I didn't want to spring the $50 for a better valve. All the upgrades I do to mine, I do to my son's red fade Pilot as well, so I like to keep the cost down as much as I can. I have the stock ACS bolt. If I can get in the low 300's I'll be happy. What kind of setup to you have?

Polishing the internals really isn't that difficult and is suggest even if you aren't doing an LP project. Have you read Otter's Spyder Pages? If you'd like this done and still don't feel comfortable doing it, let me know I can do it for you. I have all the equipment necessary and have done it too many times.

I've checked out Otter's Pages many times. I guess I could give it a try when the new striker comes in. Thanks for the info.
