(or, A Day at the Range)
went to the range with my family today (except my sister, she was being lame and stayed home) to shoot my dad's custom AR-15. so, here's a few pics. the gun: ![]() me shooting: ![]() my dad shooting with the flip-up sights: ![]() the targets (my dad got a whole bunch of these from a friend some years ago, so we decided to put them to some use): ![]() ![]() for some reason, after my dad zeroed in, everyone else's shots were high... we went through 5 or 6 magazines, and that gun is amazing, almost zero kick. even my 10 year old brother shot it like it was nothing!

You are shooting it when it's resting on a surface. Try standing or crouching and tell me there is no kick.
They're good guns. How is this zombie survival though? lol

Very nice varmit assault weapon ;D
AR-15/M-16's have minimal kick compared to their predecessor (M-14), That baby had some punch to her, of course it shoots a 7.62 vs. 5.56 round of the AR-15/M-16. I love the AR frame, you can customize to your hearts content.

ever since reading the Ultimate Zombie Survival Guide, my dad's gone on a quasi "zombie attack prevention" spree. but he's been wanting to build an AR for a while now. so to justify the headshots, we pretended the targets were zombies.

That first target kind of freaks me out that he's smiling with a gun in his hand.

yeah, i know what you mean. i looked at it and went WTF??? you can kinda tell from the pic, but that gun is so poorly photoshopped on there, its actually one gun on top of another.
