You mean powerstroke right? And yes it may have its flaws but it is a very good engine and I would gladly take one right now or in the future because they are very well designed and built trucks. Research anything out there right now from Ford to Toyota to KIA and you are going to find flaws and complaints and people praising everything out there.

Just out of curiosity what is it that you think makes the Tundra a better truck? Other than it having faster 0-60 times, loaded or unloaded, that isn't what I look at in a truck.

The one area the 150 I feel lacks is the engine department. The 5.4, although a decent workhorse lacks a little power, but it still hold's its own. Hopefully Ford introduces the BOSS 6.2L in the 2010 150's and then they'll be all set.

That is probably the most accurate statement here. Despite what I think or what anyone else thinks. Most of these cars or trucks will get the job done. Everyone has their loyalties and some of the little things sway some opinions. But in reality they all work.

Second you have no idea what differential the ford has. A 3.73 will out-pull the 3.55 off the line for sure. Those could be two totally differently equipped trucks and you would never know.

Plus it's at a Toyota dealership, obviously the Toyota is going to win.

That video shows the way a Toyota is constructed compared to the Ford. Trust me when I tell you that Ford makes a more reliable truck than Toyota.

Edit: Also it looks like the Toyota was in 4wd and the Ford definitely was not. Just another factor to consider.

Just to point out to people that have never taken a metallurgy class, the ford frame has a greater chance of cracking. There obviously made from different metal compounds, the toyota is softer compound (under a microscope its longer strans of metal spaced apart) there for it will tweak and bend, the ford frame is stiffer (under a microscope its shorter strans packed tightly) there for it will crack.

You will see that toyota frame is failing has it happens, the ford frame will be pushed until it completely fails by ripping apart.

The engine itself? No

But I've heard rumors that the trannys like to go early in the Ram 1500s, I'm not sure if this carries through to the bigger trucks too.
