i hate how EVOs and STIs are looked at today. theyre the stereotypical boy racer cars, and most people now a days dont know why they were built. these ignorant people create such a bad image of these cars that i would feel like a tool driving one. theyre freaking rally cars. take them off road. get them dirty. have enough respect for a cars heritage to use them how they were meant to be used.

tldr: i respect the car, but i look way down on the image they portray today

I4 AWD. I love these cars and would love to have one down the road but my CFO says I have too many toys as is. I think the 2nd gen Rex was the best looking, I'm not a fan of the current. The Evos on the other hand are dead sexy.

marv, the main reason i want an evo is because its AWD. i mean, i have no trouble driving my car through ice storms around here, but the power from the extra two wheels would make me feel more secure.

i got into a friendly debate with a kid at work yesterday: 350z vs. Evo. he said 350 because it has faster acceleration/top speed times. im like "i dont care, i want that extra handling!"

The Z is nice. A buddy of mine that I autoX with took me on one his runs. There were more than a few occasions where I was bracing for him to spin out or to plow through the cones but it handled like it was on rails.

I'd still rather have an Evo or STi.

One the of the guys at school I know got an EVO during the fall semester. First stick he has ever had and he is absolutely terrible at driving one. I just hate people like that, he won't listen to anyone when they give him suggestions about how to like not ride the clutch the entire time. Every time you get out of the car it smells so bad of burning clutch. I give the original clutch another 2 months if that and I am going to laugh my ass off when it goes.

DF you want an awd get a Talon or Eclipse GSX. A lot cheaper than an Evo even though Evo's are sick!!!

yeah, i know. im just not a fan of those that much.

i was talking to a kid at work, and he may be able to get a GSX for $450 (no typo!), it just needs a new alternator.
