The car was owned by one of my employees. He traded it off. I decided I wanted it. Made offer to new owner. He wanted extra money. I declined. Then he saw pics of my Talon and made me an offer. I said ok as long as everything is the same as it was when previous owner had it. He said yeah it's all there....
He swapped turbo timers. He swapped out a brand new HKS BOV for the old RFL one. SAFC was gone. That's probably a $500 difference that I wasn't too happy about. I found out about the BOV when the car died on me. I popped the hood(trunk ) and the RFL BOV had blown off and was dangling from a vacuum line.I still have a grand in extra parts he was supposed to pick up the next day. Nope no way not getting them till I get my parts. And he left a Nike softball bat in the trunk.. yeah... that's going on craigslist. Edit- 1st gen awd Talon doing 9 seconds flat. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/T...uto_640054.htm JB. |

wow, that flew!
girl at work has a '93 talon ex. i told her i was jealous, she said why, its a POS! she paid way too much for it and had the battery die on her twice, but that would still make for a fun project car.

If he would have picked it all up the same day I would have got screwed.. well.. I would have already filed paperwork to small claims court but he waited so now I'm ahead with the leverage.. I just want it over though I'm holding off on ordering parts just in case something stupid happens..

Just out of curiosity, how hard would it be to install this:
http://www.erzperformance.com/produc...hortram-76.htm And is that a good price? They have free shipping on that site. I also found out that the aftermarket Eibach springs and Tein lowering springs are cheaper than getting OE factory ones. This site also does free shipping on those. The Tein ones I'm looking at are 1.0" to 1.9" of lowering. That's good enough for me.

Hey Ace, intakes are pretty simple. Take a look at your stock set up, you should notice a few hose clamps. One near the throttle body and one near the filter or air box housing.
- Loosen those up and then unplug your MAF sensor. This should be the only electrical cabling running to your intake. - Remove the stock set up and replace with your new intake. You will most likely have to remove the stock air box. - Tighten up the clamps and plug in the MAF sensor. - There might be some hardware to fasten the new intake in position since it looks like you're not using the air box. That's about it. I may be missing something if so, I'm sure these guys will chime in. I can't comment on the price since I pretty much only research what works on my cars. *edit* If you have any aftermarket headers, midpipe or a catback you will most likely have to either get a chip or tuner since your air/fuel will be off. |

This would be the first aftermarket thing I put in this car besides the suspension.
