I'm sorry but I've never seen a Honda Civic from that new of a year do that for no reason. He probably did some kind of self mod to it and screwed it up. Either that or he drove it into the ground.

MY car's a 97 with 132k on the clock. its running just as strong as day one. shall i post another pic?

Well, I'm not taking the DSLR out for pics until I put the new rims on, get the windows tinted, and get the bumper and hood painted. I've also got to get a small dent that some ***** left in my rear fender fixed. Stupid parkinglot whore.
  Yes there is a performance exhaust on it. Only because a factory one will cost me $175 and the performance one was $50 with a lifetime guarentee and it gave the car nice sound haha. And... thats paint on my rear bumper... stupid Matt brushed his knee up against the bumper after I took him home from our tourney haha. Just realized I forgot to censor the plates.. oh well.

my dad has a half off discount for window tint, so i'm gonna get mine tinted next month. ted, get some walmart rims, just not the chrome ones...
