the crown vic wasn't a squat car. it was a transport vehicle, so it took inmates to another facility. i guess it has holes in the body from police gear but they're plugged up. my dad doesn't like the rwd either, but he drove it and said it was great. i've never driven rwd before

The thing that rocks about rwd is that you can drift properly. :P
Then again, crown vic aint much for drifting... I dunno, personally I wouldn't ever drive a crown vic, or prettymuch any pre 2007 ford. New Taurus SHO twin turbo is sick though, and the Focus RS which they of course only sell in Europe. Gar.. Anyways, I would stick with an older japanese car like a civic, corrolla or whatever that won't die on you, and will be plenty cheap to own. Thats just me though.

Your "squat" car will be fine. Don't worry, it won't die on you. Don't be wooed by the jap lovers.

Oh I'm sure it won't, they get tons of use as taxis after their service is over, doesn't stop me from disliking them :P esp the suspension.

The suspension is a beautiful thing if you're into ride comfort. But I bet that you're looking for performance.
