upgrading the xtra

Would you think that the "old" spyder xtra (blue shiny one) upgraded and customized with an electro frame and everything would take on high end markers and what people have in rec places?

If so, can you give me some suggestions to upgrade with...regulators, bolts, trigger frames, whatever

yes. I have the xtra you speak of...with a Mako storm LCD frame and I converted it to side-cocking. I had another one (green) that I sold a while ago. Had an uber-upped esprit...had a modded sonix...an Imagine...The gun doesn't win the game...player abilities and tactics do. period.

im going to have to agree with druid its not the gun its the player, but some nice ups are either a palmer, cp, or maxflo reg, j@j ceramic or lapco barrel, acs delrin bolt(must be worn in around 200 shots but very nice after that) a new feedneck go with any drop u like there all basically the same one with an on/off is a very nice feature and polish your internals and possibly an e-frame if you want the added firepower and you should have a very reliable well shooting marker

Like the others have said it is the player that makes the setup of player/marker...but here are some suggestions for upgrades...

Imagine E-Frame with Tboard and eyes
ACS delrin bolt
ANS feedneck
Dye Stickie 3 grips
CP or Bob Long Torpedo regulator
CIP 15 Degree assault block (VA)
CP Flame drop forward
Barrels... CP - Dye Xcel - Dye ultralight - Teardrop...ect.....
