Yeah I enjoy using Heat b/c it's pretty cheap field paint. It's the middle of 3 qualities at our field and we can get it for $43 a case or $38 a case if we buy 5+. It rarely if ever chops in my gun w/ my reloaderII and i'm always happy w/ the flight. I only complain about paint when I look and notice i've put in Scorch or the low quality $40 a case no-name paint at our field. Then I can't go more than like 10-20 shots walking w/o breaking in the gun.
and I'm shooting an 05ACS w/ a J&J ceramic barrel

Personally, I've had bad luck with Heat. Won't ever use it again, if I can help it. But that's just me. Bad barrel breaks (yes, I sized it and went bigger) breaks in my pods and in my loader, so on...) Others seem to have better luck than me with it though.
For scenario, I'd go for Nelson or Archon....

Was told by the local field owner here that the Heat had a short shelf life lately for some reason, anything older than a few weeks old was turning into crap and breaking in barrels etc... I just go with GAP nowadays...

i kno my little bro bought a case at the feild and it was 50 bucks, shot very well, i actually shot 2 of the 4 bags he bought through the ion, and no probs. my little bro has a TL-X also, so its very similar to your pilot. he didnt chop any and he just picked up another case at our local store for 40 bucks, and it looks just as good as the first case we payed 50 for. so ya, i would go with heat at a decent price, i wouldnt pay over 43-45 bucks for it though.

yeah...all paint, good or bad must be kept cool and out of the sun and humidity. If not, it degrades quickly.
