im not going to lie, ions arent crap, i have shot my firends ion a lot(though i still prefer my piolt acs, just because i like the metal ) though i have put it to the test, through speedball and diving, and through woodball game where i dive land in mud. Pretty sturdy...though jt/be guns are just crap.....

imo though....though eah there own

I usually stay out of these discussions because it's all opinion normally, but in this case, you're joking right? There is nothing "crap" about the composite parts on the PMR. It's tough and isn't going to break unless you enjoy using your gun as a sledge hammer. I seriously doubt the back cap even would screw up that much if it weren't for kids overtightening or putting too much lube on the threading. Of course, it's one of the first things I replaced on mine because I had money to burn, so I can't really vouch for that.

The BE and JT aren't even in the same class as the PMR, and the Ion has proven to be a tough little gun over and over and over.

Ok, since I'm here anyways, go with the PMR SE. Only because the cost of the parts you would buy to replace are worth more than the 25 bucks extra on the SE. The barrel alone, then the back cap would cost nearly 4 times that amount, then add the trigger, feedneck cover and eye covers, well you get the picture.

I wish it had cost this much when I got my PMR. Still burning over it!

well, i was half-joking. my talons pump arm broke off in the middle of a game and my eradicator's detent screw stripped and the trigger snapped in half (the part where the return spring sits) when my brother was holding it...

and i hadnt seen any ion-bashing in a while

ION isn't really crap... Only composite part is the body. Whoopie doo. The stupid composite collar on the feedneck of the PMR breaks the day you get it under normal play. You tighten it down and then play a game... oh but look, someone shot you in your feedneck. OH NOES, IT CRACKED!! YOUR FEEDNECK IS NOW USELESS!

PMR SE w/ UL Frame.

(The only reason I flame it, is because I've seen it. We have a lot of PMR's at the field and the collar is ALWAYS the first thing to go. Possibly it's over tightened... but I've seen them shatter when hit directly by a ball going 250-260FPS.

...I've also seen/saw the other day, a VLocity shell obliterate right at the screw point of the battery door when hit at 260ish FPS. Funny stuff)

Thats my old PMR. I used it twice. Total of 2 hoppers and 4 pods went through it, and then I sold it to Tim, who has not used it and is now selling it. Its practically brand new, comes in the original packaging and all the stuff that comes with it from the factory. You will save yourself a good deal of money and not be disappointed.

Edit: Actually, I think he sold it, but PM him to be sure.

Yup, I traded it over to Hob. I loved its feel, and only took it out to dink around in the backyard.

I know what you mean, Vike... I got my PMR SE for $350 when they were still $500, and I thought I was getting a killer deal. Here I am six months later selling it for a hundred bucks less than what I got it for...
