Freak or several barrels

Im kinda looking at a freak kit but then again I just bought a stainless lapco big shot plus my 16" with about the same bore, & 12" big bore im running now.

So would yall get a full freak kit or build a kit out or different 1 piece barrels?

One problem would be velocity with using different brands of 1 piece barrels beacuse of porting.

I have a freak kit for my nxt and I love it. Alot better than having 6 or 7 barrels imo

Get the Freak.... it is awesome!

I'd get an over-bored UL and be done with it. Why swap barrels when one works with everything? With the efficiency that today's markers get, the loss of some to an overbore's worth it in my mind.

If you must properly match bores, then the Freak is the way to go. Especially if you have multiple threadings that you require, such as 'Cocker and Spyder. A full kit for the Spyder in a traditional 2 piece style'd cost you $75-$100, but wait! Then you want that same performance on your 'Cocker threaded gun! You'd have to buy ANOTHER $100 kit in 'Cocker threads! With the Freak, you buy the base kit, then whatever backs for whatever threadings you need. Backs are normally about $30 shipped, so it's a lot more economical to do it that way.

Well that kit is gone. Oh well, guess Ill just get a .690 bore nickel plated Palmer brass thats 11" or so.

OOOOR......get the Lapco barrel to a machinist and have him bore the breech for the Freak inserts. Have inserts in-hand so he can measure the OD of them and get the pocket right ....

and it works great. I have one of my Phantom barrels bored out for inserts.
