And so it begins. haha. This will be a word, and picture documentary through my ups and lows with this.....I dont even know what to call it. lol.
Here are some pics i took right when i got it: ![]() This is what the idiot did trying to get the paint off of the other side... ![]() moron So, finally got it all here and what not. Of course, I had to take it apart. That was a goodtime. Special thanks to otter and his website. ![]() ![]() Now, the fun starts...Getting the paint off. I picked up some Powder blast gun cleaner. ![]() It did a hell of a job! I was very very excited when I saw the outcome. ![]() Thats all I got so far. I will continue to update this as new parts get cleaned, and new developments come along! ~~~~UPDATE~~~~ Cleaned some more parts off, and had my first thing go wrong...oh noes! Here are some pictures. ![]() I was neive to think that the anno under the paint would not be scratched. The drop is pretty messed up. The feedneck isnt much better. The trigger frame and trigger are goood though. That was good to see. And, for the thing that went wrong...... ![]() The gun cleaner and plastic eye covers reacted somehow...and the eye covers got the short end of the stick. Im not sure what to do. Im going to try to clean them up the best I can. Thats it for now. ~~~UPDATE~~~ I got a good amount of work done today. Got most of the paint off of everything, and attempted to strip the anno off of the body. heres a generic pic. I will get more specific ones up when i have a chance. ![]() What can I do to help, you may ask??? Monitary donations are always welcome. My paypal is moe243@sbcglobal.net. I will assure you that any and all donations WILL go straight to the gun. As for parts, I will have a list below of what i need. -Small N2 tank -Feedneck(black) -Eye covers

I'd be willing to bet that because plastics are a petroleum based product, the Powder Blast changed/weakened it at the molecular level.
Get metal covers and new detents

Wouldn't the paint come of if you soak the parts in thinner?
It shouldn't do anything to the anno underneath. Just don't put the plastics in the bath. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

yeah i wouldn't have put the plastic in the remover. but you can like others said modify stock timmy eye covers or make a new set out of plexi glass or some material of that sort
