From everything I have read, any barrel longer than 16" is a waste of air. There's increased friction in getting the paintball to leave the barrel, which means your gas has to expand more. So to get the same velocity, you need to use up more air for each shot. That might not bother some people though, but a long barrel is also more difficult to manoeuver with. If there are forts or buildings where you play, the extra length is a liability. I intend to bring my stock 12" barrel for such cases and take off the stock if I know I'm going to storm the castle.

Nah I knew it was a waste of air, but I'm going for a longer barrel for my SVD project, just to make it look more like a sniper. I'm a fairly conservative player in general, I only need about 500 paintballs and I'll be good for nearly 5 hours of play. I like being accurate with a few shots, not spraying a hundred shots and hitting once or twice. I picked the sp tactical barrel mostly because it looks similar to the SVD dragunov's barrel w/ muzzle break. I'll probably end up putting my apex over it though, but thanks for telling me about it.

so i am really sad. i have not been back on this forum for quite a while and it kinda sucks that nobody has really been doing anything new and impressive with their mr1. I actually finally slowed down on mine and started to rebuild my spyder e99. really need a speed ball gun soooo....... sorry guys i feel like i have turned my back on you all.

at the bottom of the page theres a pic of it on the mr1, im just wondering how well the back mount fits behind the bolt, when i look at mine theres not much room.

Thanks! i always did want a clamping feedneck, i just never bought one, i hate the stupid plastic elbows they come with. I will most likely pick up a sight rail too just because i like the look of them, so ill probably get both after Christmas.

Modified stock valve pin and valve.
Freak Kit with APEX Tip.
Modified MR1 butt stock.
Modified Spyder Pilot ACS bolt.
Alamo Delrin Striker.
Q Loader mounted using weaver rail adapter (drilled and tapped MR1 body to attach weaver rail)
Spring kit.
Stock RVA.

280 psi @ 275fps

nice... i like that custom LPC u got there...why not paint it flat black to match the marker?
