got it cheap... added stiffer detents, barrel shroud (needed to be milled to fit) trinity feed neck, cleaned and oiled trigger frame.
![]() I want to find/make a magazine extension to give it a 'grease-gun' look. Suggestions? I just went another direction with the MR2. it is something else now.I may end up getting a muzzle cone for the intimidation factor (LOUD!) or cutting the stock barrel down to 10"... or just leaving it like this. I'm trying to make it look like a SW model 76: ![]()

you can go to cheaperthandirt.com and get a straight uzi mag and make that fit where the fake mag sits right now. Maybe use the stock mag and cut it down and make some sort of magwel. But you will have to be creative about how to route the air line.

Not to take away from your mod or anything but a 98c would probably work better for a greaser conversion.

I will agree about the general shape - but he's got a MR1 to mess around with - so you do what you gotta do. I would say get a single trigger frame to complete the look. Also - I would trim the reservoir plug so that it is flush with the body so the barrel shroud sits flush with the gun. I did that to mine so my mock suppressor covers the entire barrel. All it takes is a hack saw or dremel, some black paint to touch it up with, and about an hour.

I anticipate customs troubles shipping into Canada... I will see what the regulations allow me to do with firearms parts.
I think I can get a fake mag made with a slot out the back for the air line to run through similar to what some of the tippmann fake mags do. I have been messing around with a piece of ABS pipe cover up the plug, but if trimming the reservoir plug can be done without compromising it I will do that. Quote:

Yeah I think its safe to cut down the plug. I've seen a few ppl do it and it completes the look of the marker.

Added short quick detach sight rail and trimmed 2 1/4 inches from the stock barrel.
![]() Close up of the barrel muzzle after trim. (Hint: Use a pipe cutter, hack-saws are the pits) ![]() I decided not to trim the gas plug, as it might work if I get a 'mag well' milled to fit from the trigger group to the barrel shroud. Importing magazines for automatic weapons is prohibited in Canada from what I can determine from the RCMP firearms website, even if it has been modified to be non functional (I was thinking cut a slot in the back for air hose and remove spring and platform, just the shell... should just be a metal box at that point)... so it looks like I have to try to build it. I'm kinda shocked that there are so few expansion chamber options for MRs and it seems none for the MR1. (I have checked the posts about expansion chambers for the MR1, and I think that a regulator is the better choice anyway). still working on it...

Here is my MR1, still a work in progress, I have actually played paintball with it. Still need to do some work on it. It is a G36 airsoft shell that has been gutted. Upgrades on the MR1, J&J 14 inch barrel, alamo city derlin bolt and cup seal, e-trigger from my pilot and changed out stock spring to bring velocity down.

@jarhead7: your garage looks like mine... paint covered newspapers and stuff everywhere. ;-) Is that half a stock on the floor? beside the snow shovel? haha!
