DF: What's the purpose of putting a rail on the side of the CAR stock?

haha, yeah, thats my dad's custom built AR-15, built from the ground up. cost around $900. i dont know what the rail is for. i think my dad explained it once, but i forgot. something goes on there that holds or does something...

Where can I find a Spyder Classic Trigger Frame? Does Kingman make them for parts?

i own a mr1 and i am wondering if im the only one but when my bolt is uncocked there is space behind it. so i dont know if its just mine.

What do you mean there is space behind it? Is there space between the bolt and the stock?

There should be space when the MR1 is uncocked since the bolt is in the forward position. Is your buddies gun a MR1?
