We initially thought that my son was going to be born on Halloween, I was all set to be in the delivery room, and just after the birth, turn to the doctor and say "Doc, take off it's mask!" Lol, probably a good thing that he wasn't, of course, there wasn't a doctor there either...

Nice! Congrats. My niece is a October baby too. Same with the GF.
Having a niece/nephew is awesome. (Now it is anyway... wasn't when I was 8)
