Air Tank Help

Can anyone explain to me what all the air tank talk is. meaning the 71/4500psi or 48cu/3000psi. what does that mean and is it better to have higher numbers. and are the carbon finber tanks better or just as good but are more for looks?

well first off, the 4500 [or 3000]means the psi it can hold
the 71 [or the first #] is the pressure per square inch, i believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Higher the #, the more pressure it can hold. Carbon fiber tanks are better because they are lighter and since Carbon fiber tanks are usually with the 4500's and a selected amount of 3000's, its good because of the amount of air it holds.

A carbon fiber tank is in hydro for 3 and steelies are in for 5. Hydro is making sure the tank can be used without anything blowing up or breaking.

well actually carbon fiber tanks are starting to become 5 years too
as for the psi the 4500 or 3000. Id say its better to have a 4500 just cuz it will get more shot then a 3000 but if your field only field only can fill 3000 then its just a waste of money.
and for the number in front of that it tells you how big the tank is also the higher that number the more shots u can get out of you tank. Really for the size it's just a personal preference just gotta try the sizes at ur local paintball shop n see which one feels the best with ur gun. But generally most people have a 68/4500 or a 45/4500

so where do you get a more hydro at? or when your 5 or 3 yrs are up do you have to buy another one

local airsmiths should do them. And no you shouldnt need to get a new tank unless you have like a 47/3000 and want a 68/4500 or something.

If you are used too co2
20oz=68/4500
9oz=48/3000
but the HPA is more consistent and can be used in the winter.
