id avoid painting it alltogether. either find someone with a red one willing to trade, or stick it out with the grey one, because once the mask starts flexing, the paint is gonna chip off. also, painted masks never come out good.

to take the lense out, take the little black tabs out by lifting up on the little flexible tab on the side of the piece itself (stick the end of your finger underneath the tab, and pull up), and pull out the piece off toward the back of the mask. it takes a little bit of force. then, once you have both of them off, push in on the lense underneath the plastic pieces you just removed to pop it out. its simple to take out (probably the easiest lense removal of any mask). its kinda hard to explain. it would be easier to ask someone at the field who has a profiler to show you how to take it off.

i wouldnt wash the mask with the lense in it, just do them seperately.

yeah, its kinda hard the first time you try, but once you get the hang of it, its easy.

paint + mask = Bad Idea

I did this to my old JT goggles, they came out uglier than anything i've ever seen. It's really not worth it.

I wouldn't paint it either, in the end painted masks always look like ****.

the only mask ive seen painted that turned out good is i think Chubbs, the black and silver proto-switch. but he painted the hard part and not the soft, flexable mouth part.
