worked great the first couple games. then it started during the game it would jump back into safe mode i could change it back, same thing safe mode thinking batt. installed a new 9.6 with full charge same thing. What do i check next. some times the solenoid don't kick like a weak Batt. I have checked the wires and the are ok.

It really does sound like a weak battery, are you positive it has a full charge?

I've heard of people having problems with normal 9V's, make sure it's a 9.6v and leave it for a night charging then try to walk it for a while (w/o air) and see what happens?

Have you tried it w/o air anyway?

Also, do you happen to have dye stickies? They're loose enough that if you hold it tight enough you can actually feel the solenoid and prevent it from firing.

it could be a bad capacitor or noid ... hmm try shimming your noid ... (put a penny behind it) ... umm .. and maybe replace the capacitor ...

Maybe you don't have the right kind of charger ?? .. do you have a meter to see if they are reading around ... 11.6 volts fresh out of the charger ?? ... and how about on a load ... how much after that ??
