If you buy a 4500 tank, it has the capability of being filled to 4500psi. If your field can only fill it to 3000 thats fine it will still work. If your field happens to upgrade to be able to fill 4500 in the future or your at a field that can fill 4500 you will be able to get it completely filled.

The size issue:
I run 68ci tanks and shoot a few games before a 3000 refill. I have a 47ci too and it is fine but requires filling after almost every game. My personal fav is my 114ci...it is big but I don't mind, so I say try a few sizes if you can before you buy..
The max pressure issue:
Since you can fill any 4500 or 5000psi tank to 3000 with no problems, get at least a 4500 if you can afford it...they last alot longer when filled to their max, the same when filled to 3000, and sooner or later you will play somewhere that can fill them....

EDIT: Spelling

When I'm done buying, I'll have a 48/3000 and a 72/3000 (I always like to have a backup). That should do for a while. I'll look for a 4500 down the line. Thanks for all the input. I got way more (and better!) response here than pbnation.
