It would be like doing any other Spyder. Just dont cut to far as to run into the orings on the bolt when its cocked.

but what about the top pull pin on the bolt. on a non-halfed vs 2, there is that slot on top of the gun that kinda guides that pin. if i half-back it and take that slot away, will i run into problems like the bolt not aligining correctly? thanks

You shouldnt have any problems unless you take to much off.

the pin should stay straight since it's still connected to the striker

how much is too much? and if i take off too much material where?

also i was looking at the striker. and the problem is that when the bolt pin is pushed down and connected into the striker, only a fraction of the bottom of the bolt is actually in the striker. (ill measure out how much actually stays in the striker). another potential problem i see is that since there is some left/right play when the striker and bolt are connected, without the guiding slot i could be putting a lot of unnecessary friction on the sides of the striker and the bolt (if the aliginment does not stay true). this would lead to my bolt working too hard and then eventually recocking problems.

i really appreciate all your guys help. im just asking a lot of questions cuz if im gonna do this, imma do it right. thanks
