Default eggy chopping w/ z-board

Ok, i got a slight problem here ...
First off, the z-board does create pressure on the stack of balls, so i get chops from the bolt.

I know you can switch to y-board to release some of the pressure in order to slow the speed, but i don't have the y-board .. unless i buy it.

I was wondering if i could use another remedy in order to cease the chopping.

Thanks for the replies in advance

The issue with the z-board is that it keeps spinning for about half a second after it senses that there's no ball movement to keep pressure on the ball stack, depending on its flexing paddles to not break paint... If you're using brittle paint, it WILL break, as it's NOT like a Halo or Empire B, and doesn't use spring tension to load... Y-board can help, as stops spinning as soon as the balls stop moving...
In all honesty, though, you'd be best off getting a Reloader B, because you can set speed/tension levels, and even with the highest setting, it will be less pressure than is put on the balls with the Zeggy, and there aren't any paddles to crush the balls...

i have metal detents, and it's the tl-x model.

Yeah, the reloader b is a great choice and i have had that in mind, but it'd take some time to earn for ... I'v just got this Zeggy, so i guess i'll just havta shoot fast short bursts ...

It's not the paddles chopping my paint, it's rather the paint stack pushed in my bolt, which is knicking each of my next shots, resulting in big problems ....

I have tried bigger bore'd paint, which has worked, but the only problem is that the paint to barrel match is pretty horrible, but i do think it worked since it wasn't brittle paint .. rather some offbrand kind.

Right now my budget is tight, so the reloader b is not going to be in my posession for a long time .. unless i get a job, which is even out of my reach untill the summer time because of school.

If there are any other suggestions i'd be highly appreciated

10 to 1 says it's the detent. I have a Zeggo and the only time I have probs with chopping, it can be assured to be the detent. Mine will show a small hairline crack on the plastic to the left and/or right of the ball on the inner portion of the detent. It's barely noticable. As soon as I install another detent it's good as gold. I always keep extras just in case. I have gone through at least 5 detents in the past 3 years. I seriously don't think it's the hopper -
