Ive just been reading some reviews on this new magazine-fed semiautomatic paintball pistol. Been saving up for a Smith&Wesson but when I find stuff like this it makes me want to blow my stash. Looks a little awkward and it would take some getting used to (not having to pump it, I mean) but I think its pretty sweet.

One guy we play with already bought one of these or the RAP4?? , looks so real in the pics he sent, and yup he's in law enforcement

They look pretty cool but not my style it would be awkward to either not pump a gun or not lay on a trigger and shoot a stream of paint!

If they come in a clip assort ment and you have 10 paints and gettin 30-40 shots of a 12 gram would you be wasting those last shots or does it reseal the 12 gram some how(yes i know 12 grams dont reseal by them selves)

cool for scenarios i guess... but i wouldnt spend 250 unless i was uber hardcore. i think it might be run by a cheep noid.. i read somewhere about how it operated, but forgot.

i think i read when they first came out that they sealed off the 12 gram again so you could reload and not waste the cartridge.

They put a check valve in the magazine. When you drop a clip to refill the paint, the check valve seals the 12gram off until you reinsert the clip into the gun. You only lose the tiny bit of gas each time you drop a clip... not enough to be concerned with. Pretty cool idea if you ask me, but putting a check valve in every magazine (among other design features) makes replacement/extra mags a little expensive. Something like $30 each.

The RAP4 is an awesome little marker, but quite different from this pistol. The RAP4 is used for law enforcement training (or at least it used to be). I think its also blowback where the Tac8 has a fixed slide. Still an awesome gat though.
