Try playing with a pup first so buy something inexpensive to try out. I'd get a pmi traccer or a maverick, SL68 something like that! If you decide you like it then move up to something else!

I second JB's suggestion. There's a wide variety of marker types within the pump family. There's a "top shelf" and the "beginner level" just like with semis. Just pick up something affordable so you can get used to the new style of play. If you like it and want more, let us know what you like and don't like about it and we can point you towards a better pump marker.

If you're looking for a cheap and easy starter pump, let us know your price range. Also, if you've played pump before and liked what you used, let us know what you liked about it. That will help us to give you a better answer.
