wich barrel

i dont kno what barrel i wana get for close range paintballing .. im thinking about a 9 /12 inch or a 12 inch or just useing the 14 inch i got for my spyder TS please tell me what you think :P

Go With A Smart Parts Barrel. If You Are Playing Close Range Then GO With A All American 12Inch They are excellent Barrels.

Don't use anything in the 9-12 inch range. Your gun will be soo inaccurite its not funny. (<---imo)

Get a 14 inch or 16 inch


I ahve a 16 inch J+J Ceramic barrel for my Electra and it is 20x more acurite then the stock barrel


And by close range you mean a regular Speedball field???

length means nothing.I can put ball on ball from 40 feet away using super swirl in my stock barrel the looks like somebody shot sand through it.

I'd pick up a used freak back, .689 &.691 inserts and then you can experiment with tip lengths to find which one suits you best. I have 12", 14" and 16" AA tips for my freak kit and have to say there is no accuracy gains from the 16" over the 14", and the 12" has great accuracy out to ~30 yards. Irregardless of which length you choose having a 2 piece barrel gives you a lot of flexibility to use different length tips.

I think you should just use the 14", but if you really want another barrel get a 12" not a 8"

The Length of a barrel does matter. A nice length for a barrel would be between 10-14". Long barrels are kinda clumsy when on the field. Particlulary when moving about. In paintball, if your pinned down behind something, you will need to snap shoot to keep your opponents in place until you figure out what your going to do. Your opponent will see the barrel start to come around the bunker. By the time you get into position, there may be 1 or 2 balls heading towards you. Or you may need to sprint to a new location. What about performance for a barrel length? A paintball will need 8" to 10" of barrel to get up to your desired velocity. It also needs some guidance when it reaches this velocity. Typically, that is from 2" to 4". Something longer, this will cause unneeded friction on the paintbal. The friction will slow the paintball down. Thus, more gas is needed to keep the paintball the right speed. A short barrel will not have the proper guidance for the paintball.

well kinda by short distance i mean .. one corse at the place i go for paintball has a field thats like 50 yards in langth and width and ye its kinda like a speedball lil differant

I woulc recommend a J&J Ceramic... accurate and self-cleaning. As for length, I use a 12'' for speedball, I wouldn't go any longer than 14".
