Default Trigger modding question...

Ok, I'v had little luck finding just a trigger for my spyder compact, most everyone wants to sell a newer frame but im trying to keep this as low budget as possible. So I was wondering if I could use a newer mechanical double trigger and just cut the lower half off? (my frame only allows single finger triggers) Is the upper portion that mounts to the frame the same?

since both triggers are alike it should work. I have seen some guns with the double trigger with the cut off guard.

EDIT: Found one

yep, cutting off a double trigger (mechanical) works just fine. i've not done it, but i've seen many of them before. i was actually going to do that, but one of the local shops still sold the single trigger. if you would like, i could check to see if they still have any in stock. i don't remember the price, but i could check again.

the only thing i was worried about was the position. i thought it might have been too far forward, but it's probably something you could get used to.
