Default Prayer requests aside from my anger against God.

Copied this from the Flame Theropy thread... I think it will go noticed better here. I really need prayer for these people...

WHAT THE ****!

I am so incredibly pissed off at God right now. Why the **** does he let horrible things keep happening to good people...

First recent reason I hate him: He has let my best friends little sister have a heart problem which she is not recovering from... she just went into surgery and we are waiting to see what will happen and she is in the ICU... but... her heart is producing some form of liquid and wont stop doing it.

Second reason: My other close friend just got into a car accident. The car is totaled, she, her boyfriend, and two of her close friends were injured. 2 are in the hospital right now and I have no idea what happened... They have no money and no way to get her a new car... and she has been through so much **** before this. UGH!

And third: My other friend’s boyfriend just cheated on her. Her mother is going back to alcohol and is turning abusive again and my friend is becoming suicidal.

All of this **** is really pulling me down and I really need a break from it all. I'm so stressed out right now. I can't ****ing wait till my bolt gets here. I'm not even going to finish polishing my gun, I'm going to play and relieve as much stress as I can.

I took my anger out by working out and now I can't move my arms without them shaking. It feels good... but I think I over-did.

i hope you friends and your friends sister come out ok.

stress like that isn't good at all. i haven't gone through the same sort of things, but i have gone through that kind of stress, and it sucks more than anything. i agree though. a long day of paintball would help with all this.

i hope everything gets better for you

Although it appears you've made your mind up on your opinion of God, this is the best explanation I can give:

Question: "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?"

Answer: Why do bad things happen to good people? That is one of the difficult questions in all of theology. God is eternal, infinite, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, etc. Why should we human beings (not eternal, infinite, omniscient, omnipresent, or omnipotent) expect to be able to fully understand God’s ways? The book of Job deals with this issue. God had allowed Satan to do everything he wanted to Job except kill him. What was Job’s reaction? “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him” (Job 13:15). “The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised” (Job 1:21). Job didn’t understand why God had allowed the things He did, but he knew that God was good and therefore continued to trust in Him. Ultimately, that should be our reaction as well. God is good, just, loving, and merciful. Often things happen to us that we simply cannot understand. However, instead of doubting God's goodness, our reaction should be to trust Him. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Perhaps a better question is, "Why do good things happen to bad people?" God is holy (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8). Human beings are sinful (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Do you want to know how God views humanity? “As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:10-18). Every human being on this planet deserves to be thrown into hell at this very moment. Every second we spend alive is only by the grace of God. Even the most terrible misery we could experience on this planet is merciful compared to what we deserve, eternal hell in the lake of fire.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Despite the evil, wicked, sinful nature of the people of this world, God still loved us. He loved us enough to die to take the penalty for our sins (Romans 6:23). All we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 10:9) in order to be forgiven and promised a home in heaven (Romans 8:1). What we deserve = hell. What we are given = eternal life in heaven if we would just believe. It has been said, this world is the only hell believers will ever experience, and this world is the only heaven unbelievers will ever experience. The next time we ask the question, “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?”, maybe we should be asking, “Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people?”

Ya know everybody has there own beliefs, I personally I agree with everything Durrell said. What I find ironic is that God gets blamed for everything bad that happens to people.
I am truly sorry for the difficult times you and your friends have/are facing and hope that everything works out to a happy and positive end. If it doesn`t that is truly a sad turn of events and a testimate that tragically sometimes life seems unfair.

Good news, and I should be thanking Him not blaming Him. He saved them from a much worse fate.

The front driver side tire blew, caused the front end to lift a little and they spun out, hit a gardrail and the car... well here are pics

I am so glad they are all ok. My friend is the worst (she was driving). Her arms are brused, cut and her neck is really sore. Her boyfriend walked away with no problems at all.

I am so glad they were in a Honda. (Some of the highest crash ratings out there)

Durrell, It's good to read that and hear that again. I've drifted so far from my faith and religion that I've become lost. It's pathetic... and I have so much hate and anger and pain that I repress inside me... and I have to blame someone. So I blame God. Why? I don't know. It's just easier to blame someone who is in control of the universe and what happens to everyone, everything, and can change everything in an instant.

It's so hard to understand... but seeing this makes it make a little more sense. If they hadn't hit the guardrail and had they gone to the other side... they could have died. I know that road, and it's a good 40-60 foot drop on the other side had they flipped over the rail and gone down. I thank God they are alive and fine.

I sort of feel like a ***** saying this, but I cried when I heard what happened. I didn't know anything about it and it scared me. I'm so glad everyone is ok.

But there still is the issue with my best friends sister and my other female friend.

I hope things get better fior you. Me and my wife say if something bad happens or something doesn't go our way, there is a reason.
Your best friends sister that has the heart problem. It shows how much love his family and your family have for this little girl. Pray for the doctors. Once they discover what it is, the next person that has this the doctors can say" we have seen this before and know how to treat it".
Yes they were in a wreck, but are alive. Maybe someone will step up and help with the car somehow.
Your friend with the boyfriend problem. Maybe this cheating guy was for a reason. Better to find out now then later when the relationship gets really serious. Just let her know you will be there when things get rough at home so she knows not everyone is turning on her.

I will pray for her. As a Christian I know the power of prayer and faith in God.
I will pray for you to, so you can know what God has said. "Be still, & know that I am God". That always comforts me and helps me know there is nothing out of God's reach.

Its life, not God, so don't blame him.

I'm not even religious and I don't blame anything on God.

QFT

I'm pretty close to being agnostic, being that I don't claim a faith besides that SOMETHING ultimately created us. A lot of religions have good things to say, and give good advice, but I don't personally think pointing at one faith arbitrarily or because your parents were that and their parents were etc... makes it a logical decision that can be made. If you step back and look at things it's really a lot harder to justify being mad that stuff is happening to you or around you. So much **** happens on this planet and no body does anything about it, and no body holds people accountable for doing NOTHING. And here you are in a situation that's not a cause of some one's lack of action, etc. and you hold God accountable. It already happened and its not like if you make some quest against God that it won't happen again to someone else. Prayer is great if you need strength, but if you've already got it go out in the world and DO SOMETHING GOOD, so that maybe you can prevent someone else from experiencing the same anguish you did. The reason I say getting pissed about God isn't going to help is because in the bible, a lot of people think that God is exclusively this ultimate being, but in reality God also symbolizes the community.

I think part of the reason I get so pissed at God is due to the fact that my father blames him for everything. (When he should be blaming himself) I've grown up with that and it's sort of gotten stuck into my head as a first reaction. Then I think about it and logically, it doesn't make sense to blame Him. Ugh.
