I am converting an old Spyder into a pump shotgun just for fun. I havent made the conversion yet because I'm waiting on payday so I can buy the rest of the parts I need to finish it. Here is what I have so far.
1. Heres the whole thing before I got the drop attached. 2. Here it is all strapped up and ready to go(ignore the bleach stained boxers and belly shot ). The permanent drop is matte black(the chrome one is borrowed from my e-99 till I get the black one in) 3. Heres a view of the half back and ACS bolt plus the modded strip pin that helps to hold it in the stock. I opted for the ACS because I couldnt find my other Alamo City bolt at the time and I wanted a higher flowing, non venturi for testing. I also stripped the anno and polished it up real good. 4. View down the barrel from the rear. This was a powerfeed that I modded to come in at a right angle to the tube and off to the right instead intersecting from the left. The red ring is a modded sight and works pretty well (3 of 5 dead on and I'm still tinkering). 5. Close up of mods described in 4. Flash hit hard so its kinda hard to see. What do you think so far? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks rough at the moment, but pretty cool, once you finish it and polish it up, I bet it'll look amazing.

Woot! I am finished with the mechanics and it shoots great. I have to work a bit on velocity. Next is cosmetics so it looks better. I wanted to get it working properly before I spent the time to make it look good. Here you go:

it doesnt look very comfotable to me with the spacing between the trigger and the back of the stock. the pump rod could use some work too. is it open bolt or closed bolt?

Open. Its comfy for me because I have pretty long arms. With a remote setup it will rest nicely on my shoulder like it should. With the trigger being a bit further forward it reduces the "chicken wing" effect and reduces my side to side profile so I can keep it shouldered and step behind a tree or something. Rod is a bit rough right now but I am going to replace it soon. I needed to get an idea on length and how I'd need to bend it so the permanent one could be made. It is very ghetto at the moment but I got the mechanics down and can now concentrate on making it look pretty. As I said above I just wanted a working model and appearance wasnt an issue right now, its still a work in progress.

Just and idea that popped into my head. If you sawed off some of the wood on the barrel part, you could cut a small amount off, then use the front part to make a pump arm. Or you could make a peice of wood that would sit flush with the wood of the existing body. Would cosmeticly make it look better IMO.
I'm curious as to how you pull that trigger. Pics?

I'll try to get some more pics up tonight. I did a little work to make it more solid and durable plus made that new rod. The striker still blows back like a semi but I have to pump to chamber a ball. Nothing ground breaking or fancy. Just me, a beat up old Spyder,a rifle stock, a Dremel and some household items. As markers go its fairly accurate and for me its comfortable to shoot. I am taking it into the woods this weekend and we'll see how it holds up to some action. Oh, I can chamber 3 balls and send out a cluster thats pretty accurate at about 15-20 feet (severe dropoff because of the added balls). Its a woodsball gun and not meant to be anything more.
