You cant get your licence right after you get your permit. It's not a stupid test either. It's your personal fault for not studing. If you downloaded the drivers manual, or just went and picked up one at the DMV, you could have avoided failing it.

You cant get your licence untill you pass a 5 hour course half a year from the date you got your permit. (At least thats the way it is in NY. You have to have your permit for half a year, you have to have taken a 5 hour course, and you have to pass your road test. Then you get your licence)

I'm guessing you failed on the DWI questions?

Driving a standard brings you closer to the car, makes you more involved with driving, and gives you this incredible feeling as you accelerate faster then you could in an automatic. Its so much more fun.

That may be true, but just wait until you're sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic going uphill and then tell me if you wish you had bought an automatic.
